    This course uses the latest research to explore the role that genetic, medical and social history plays in determining if prenatal risk factors are present and how that information is gathered.

    • Identifies common effects of various prenatal exposures
    • Explores substances and situations that can put an unborn child at risk for physical or developmental challenges
    • Identifies parenting strategies for parenting a child who was prenatally exposed

    This course is recommended for all adoptive and foster care families, caregivers, and professionals and includes access, testing and certificates for two parents for 2 hours of adoption education.
