Because They Waited Education System for Foster Families

At Heart of the Matter Education we are dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive families by helping them to better understand the needs of the children in their care.

Although the Because They Waited program was originally designed with adoptive parents in mind, foster families find the material to be just as important- if not more important for them.  Why?  Because as foster families, you have the added challenge of trying to build trust and attachment with children in what are often temporary placements.  

Because They Waited helps to make sense of not only WHY foster and adoptive children struggle in some areas, but more importantly WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT; how to go about parenting in everyday life in a way that promotes positive brain development, trust, attachment and more.
